Do I need previous weight-training experience?
No. I start by assessing your movement, experience and goals, then choose exercises and loads appropriate for you. You can begin as a complete novice or build on years of training.
Can strength training help maintain bone density?
Appropriately programmed resistance and weight-bearing exercise can help maintain or improve bone strength. Results vary, and training is not a substitute for medical assessment or treatment of osteoporosis.
Will the program focus on my glutes and legs?
If developing your lower body is a priority, yes. We can emphasise glutes and legs within a balanced strength program, using exercises such as squats, split squats, hinges and step-ups that suit your movement and equipment.
Is training suitable during perimenopause or menopause?
Yes. Resistance training can be an important part of maintaining muscle, strength and function through midlife. I adjust the program to your goals, energy, recovery and any relevant health considerations.
Where are sessions held and who coaches me?
You train one-to-one with me, Greg Kafalian, inside Snap Fitness, a commercial gym at 35 Clarence Street in Sydney CBD near Wynyard Station. This is not a private studio.
How do I get started and what does it cost?
Start with a complimentary consultation and movement assessment. Sessions are 45 minutes. Current single-session and multi-session package prices are listed on the main website, with no lock-in contract.
